Jennifer read French and Italian at Cambridge, where she sang as a choral scholar in Clare College Choir. She studied for a year on the ENO Baylis opera course, The Knack, and then at Trinity College of Music, from which she graduated in 2004 with a Postgraduate Diploma in Singing (Distinction). She was a finalist in the college's Isabelle Bond Gold Medal competition and was awarded the Paul Simm Prize for excellence in contemporary vocal music. She was also a finalist in the 2005 Hampshire Singer of the Year competition.

Jennifer's solo work has encompassed music by composers such as Allegri, Monteverdi, Bach, Handel and Mozart through to Fauré, Rutter, Judith Weir and Malcolm Williamson, in whose opera Our Man in Havana she played the principal role of Beatrice with Trinity College of Music Opera Company. Recent solo work includes Villa Lobos' Bachianas Brasileiras No.5 with the cellists of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra; Handel's Messiah in Guildford Cathedral; a recording of Patrick Gower's A Chester Lullaby for Lammas Records, and recitals of songs by Purcell and Henry Lawes with organist Stephen Farr.

Jennifer performs regularly as an ad hoc member of the BBC Singers, and is a permanent soprano with the choir of All Saint's Margaret Street in London. She has worked with various other professional ensembles, including Philharmonia Voices and Coro Cervantes, and with conductors such as Andras Schiff, Ivor Bolton, David Hill, Andrew Carwood, Robert Craft and Nicholas Kok.

While studying at Trinity she formed the prizewinning baroque ensemble, "La Flûte enchanteuse" (soprano, baroque flute and harpsichord), which has given recitals at St Bride's Fleet Street and the Handel House Museum in London, and will appear in the autumn of 2006 at Blenheim Palace and in the Greenwich International Festival of Early Music.

In addition to her performing work, Jennifer is also an experienced singing teacher. She is on the teaching staff for the National Youth Choirs of Great Britain, and is vocal advisor to the boy and girl choristers of Guildford Cathedral and singing teacher at Lanesborough School in Guildford.
